Come to CHRIST.
Make a difference in all you.
DO IT EVERYDAY.
What is a mission? The best definition I found says a mission is, "an operation assigned by a higher headquarters". That's interesting. Another I found says, "a special assignment given to a group or an individual". Years ago, after finding Christ, I asked myself that question. What is my mission on earth? Finding the answer wasn't an easy process. Its a process that evolves over time. In the beginning my mission was a couple of paragraphs long. Lots of detail. Each year I worked on the process. After three or four years I'd refined my mission to a paragraph. After a couple of decades I realized my mission was simple. My mission is to 'Come unto Christ and make a difference in all I do, and do it everyday'.
What does that mean? It means doing whatever we do for the right reasons, as best it can be done, every day, every time. It means if we commit to teach a Sunday School class, do it in an outstanding way. Don't just show up. If you work as a Janitor or an Executive, don't just be there everyday, go to work and do it better than its ever been done, for the right reasons. If you see someone in need, don't rush on to your next meeting, help the person in need. If you're a Christian, make sure you live in a manner that there would be enough evidence to prove it. We can each make a difference every day in some small way.
You cannot reach a destination you do not have anymore than you can a game with a ball you do not have. Here are a few things I've found that will help.
1. Start and end each day in prayer. Personal prayer and with your spouse & family.
2. Study the scriptures for at least a small period of time, morning and night.
3. Attend and participate in the Christ centered church of your choice.
4. Pray for your nation. Stand for right. Never give way to political correctness.
If we have a mission to follow Christ then our words must match our deeds. We live in times where integrity is a rare commodity. As followers of Christ we cannot let this be us. Making a difference starts with each one of us. We're not here to take up space, play video games, send text messages and complain about all the cool stuff we don't have. We are in fact here on earth as spiritual beings having a human experience, not human beings occasionally having a spiritual experience. We are human beings created in the exact image of our Creator. There is no one like you. There never has been and never will be. You are unique and you have a mission in life. Your mission is between you and your Creator. Your mission in the least is to make a difference in your life and the lives of as many others as possible while you are here. How else will mankind become better?
We're living in one of the most important times in all of history. America, the country established to allow mankind to be free, to worship as they will, and to exercise their free agency, is coming to an end as we know it. We have been blessed, but we no longer place God first. Our collective blessings as a nation are ending. We as individuals, must start the change by getting right with our Creator and then be in a position to make a difference with others and for our nation. Remember, the only person you have control over is you ... lets begin making a difference together!
